How to add a Multi-column note in Charity/Academy accounts

1. Click anywhere within the note that is meant to be above the note that you are adding. For example, to add note 7, click on note 6.

2. Click the Add button under the Note tab and select the Multi-column note option.

 

The note should look as follows:

 

 

3. To add rows, click the Enter row heading cell and select the Insert new row button under the Table tab.

 

4. Enter the number of rows required. If there is a need to add sections, include the second section rows as well. 

In this example, 10 rows have been added, 5 rows for the first section and 5 for the second section.

 

 

5. To add a section, click in the last row of the first section (in this case row 5) and then select the Insert a new subtotal button under the Table tab.

 

The section will be applied as follows.

 

If the second section needs a separate subtotal, click the last row of the last section and then select the Insert a new subtotal button under the Table tab.

 

The second section will now have a subtotal as shown below.
