Removing different types of page breaks

There will be several instances where you will be looking to remove a page break but are not sure how.  There are four main reasons that a page break could be present in your set of accounts.

Toolbar buttons

Almost every section of your accounts will have three options for a page break available from the Note section of the toolbar.

These will usually apply before and after the sections, you are currently selecting.

Most page breaks are present due to these options. It is worth noting that on some notes, like the Debtors note, you need to select a row within the table for these options to apply correctly, like below.

Keep together setting

Most standard notes have a setting called Keep Together applied to them. This will try to make sure the note presents on the same page, by adding a page break if the note goes over more than one page.

If you feel there is a page break, but cannot see the page break line on the face of the accounts, this is likely caused by a keep together setting.

To remove this, place the cursor within the section and hit the Keep Together icon on the Note section of the toolbar.

Inline page breaks

In a green editable section of your accounts, page breaks can be added by selecting CTRL and ENTER on your keyboard.

If there is a page break you are trying to remove in amongst some of your text, you will be able to place the cursor on the page break line, and hit the Delete key, and this will then remove the break.

Ensure you switch on edit text or editing mode to do this.

Note specific options

On some notes, particularly the Tangible fixed asset note, page breaks can be controlled by a nearby ? option.

There is also an option on the balance sheet to add a page break immediately after the table itself. If added, the same button then can remove this break.
