Tagged item is not dimensionally valid

In the process of submitting accounts to HMRC, some files are getting Not dimensionally valid errors, single error as well as multiple.

Below is an example of one of these errors as well as a list of similar errors but they are all solved the same way.

Tagged item "Group relief for carried forward losses, total surrendered" is not dimensionally valid.

Tagged item "Non-trading deficit carried forward, total surrendered" is not dimensionally valid.

1. Click on the correct button which will open the following window. Next, click Edit.

2. On XBRL Contexts window, select the Advanced option.

4. Select the Edit Dimensions option.

5. On the Edit Dimensions window, change the row to ct01 - Company.

6. Change the Primary Item option to reflect the error in question.

In this example, select the Excess management, surrendered.

7. Change the Business type Dimension to Company and then click OK.

8. Back on the View Dimensions window, select Close, then OK on both the XBRL Contexts window and the XBRL Document Tagging window. 

The XBRL Diagnostics will clear the error after a few seconds.

Click Export to proceed with the submission.
