Section Headers Breakdown

Changing a figure

1. To change a figure within the Cashflow Statement, this should be done via the Cashflow Worksheet.

2. Make a note of the figure you want to change, the section it is showing in, and the description.

3. In the Cashflow Worksheet ensure you are viewing the correct year and scroll down until you find the relevant section with the figure that you wish to amend.

4. Overtype the amount(s) in the blue input cell(s) to amend the figure. Return to the accounts to view the amended Cashflow Statement.

Worked Example

In the example below, the Increase in creditors figure requires amending from 69,900 to 80,000.

1. The amount is located within the Operating activities section of the Cashflow Statement.

2. In the Cashflow Worksheet, follow the Operating Activities column down to the Creditors section.

Note: The total here matches the amount for the Increase in creditors on the Cashflow Statement.

3. The relevant amount can then be overtyped within the Creditors section, Other creditors in this example.

The total will then update and feed through to the Cashflow Statement.

4. Sometimes the figures in the Cashflow Statement populate from multiple amounts in the Cashflow Worksheet, for example, depreciation populates from the Tangible Fixed Assets section and the Retained Earnings section of the Cashflow Worksheet.

In this instance, you will need to amend the amounts in both sections for the Cashflow Statement to update.
