Errors have occurred during this process

You may receive the following error when going into your Accounts:

This can be caused by having custom reports in your Accounts, but not having the knowledge library on your machine.

1. Click on Details it will open up to reveal which note is missing.

2. In this instance it is MyOwnCustomReport, as shown below:

3. If you know that your company uses a custom report, it may be worth checking with colleagues and copying the missing file from their machine to yours, into the Custom directory.

This may vary depending on your operating system.

For example – C:\Program Files\CaseWare\Resources\Knowledge Library\Custom

4. Choose from the below if you would like to use the Default or Custom Report.

Default Report

If you wish to use CaseWare's default report, enter your Accounts Preparation Table.

As shown below, you will see a C on one of the lines and it will also tell you which custom report is being used.

This will match the missing knowledge library in the error message.

Left click on the C and you will get the options to either Use Standard KL or Select alternative Custom KL.

 

Custom Report

If you are supposed to be using a custom report, here is where you browse to the correct custom note and select it.

Otherwise, choose Use Standard KL.

 

5. Regardless of what you choose, you will receive the following box where you will click Yes to replace the current content.
