Linking an inserted cell to a map number

1. In the cell, properties click on the General tab and then click the ... button to open the calculation editor.

 

2. Under the Functions tab select Linkage and MAP(Param1, Param2, Op3) which will display calculation guidance for linking a  cell to a map number.


 

Example 1
Linking a cell to the current year value of an individual mapping number:

MAP("AY","A01.01.01")

Example 2
Linking a cell to the current year values of multiple mapping numbers:

MAP("AY", "A01.01.01")+MAP("AY","A01.01.02") 

Example 3
Linking a cell to the prior year value of an individual mapping number:

MAP("YR1", "A01.01.01")

Example 4
Linking a cell to the prior year values of multiple mapping numbers:

MAP("YR1", "A01.01.01")+MAP("YR1","A01.01.02")  

 

Note: It is also possible to use a wild card to bring a group of mapping codes through to the accounts on inserted notes and on some default notes. Click here for more information.
