Microsoft Hyperlinks in Caseware Cloud

You have the option to insert hyperlinks within Word or Excel documents within Caseware Cloud. This allows you to link to link to other Microsoft files, PDFs and even Work Programmes.

1. Obtain the Address for the item you wish to Link to.

You can do this by locating it within your Cloud file's Documents screen, right-clicking and selecting Copy Link Address:

 

2. In the Word or Excel document, select where you want this link to appear, press Ctrl+K (to open the Hyperlinks Menu) and select Existing File or Web Page:

 

3. If the item you wish to link to is a PDF or Work Programme, you can simply paste the address into the Address field at the bottom of the window and amend the Text to display in the field at the top:

 

4. If the item you wish to link to is a Microsoft Office document, include the relevant prefix before the address:

ms-word:ofe|u|

ms-excel:ofe|u|

ms-powerpoint:ofe|u|
