Accounts Preparation Table
The Accounts Preparation Table is used to define the overall content of the financial statements.

Accessing the Accounts Preparation Table
Open the Accounts Prep table via the Navigation tab on the AccountsAdvanced toolbar in the Accounts.
Or via the Wizard document.
Navigating the Account Preparation Table
The Accounts Prep table uses a combination of the information filled out in the wizard and the mapping numbers used in the trial balance to determine what sections are relevant to the client.
For example, the Fixed Assets note will be switched on where balances exist against mapping numbers starting A01.
Relevant To This Client
The sections that Caseware believes to be relevant will show with a tick next to the row under RELEVANT TO THIS CLIENT.
The sections that Caseware believes to be irrelevant will show with a cross next to the row.
The sections where Caseware is unsure a question mark will show.
Disclosure Override
For each section with a question mark, you will need to decide whether to include this section by selecting Yes/No from the drop-down menu beneath the DISCLOSURE OVERRIDE? column.
Leaving the option as a dash will not include this section.
Note: It is also possible to turn on sections that Caseware has put a cross next to, this is also done through the Disclosure Override column.
Reason Over-Ridden
Reasons for excluding or including a section can be recorded within the far right hand column.
Lock Update
The LOCK UPDATE? column can be used if you would like to lock that section for all knowledge library updates, the padlock will turn orange when locked.
Further options
There are three options to change the content and layout of the Accounts Prep Table.
To change the accounts to the small filing version click CHANGE TO SMALL FILING VERSION.
Select HIDE INACTIVE ITEMS to hide the inactive sections within the table.
Use the SORT dropdown menu to arrange sections of the Accounts.
