How to make text italic
You have the option to change a text style to italic (applying the change wherever that style appears throughout the face of the accounts) or to specific text.
Setting a Style to Italic
Follow these steps to set a text style to italic and apply the change throughout the accounts:
1. Place your mouse cursor within the body of text that you wish to edit, navigate to the Style tab and double-click the Select Type field to confirm the current style:
2. Select the I option on the Style tab (this will apply italic text to all occurrences of this style throughout the accounts):
Setting Specific Text to Italic
Follow these steps to apply italic text to a specific selection, without updating the style throughout the accounts:
1. Using an accounting policy as an example, place your cursor within the text that you wish to edit and select the first User Text option under the Note tab:
This will place an editable user text area at the top of the note.
2. Highlight the text to edit and copy it (by right-clicking or using Ctrl+C), before pasting it into the new text field (by right-clicking or using Ctrl+V).
3. Highlight the pasted text and set it to italic either via the I button under the CaseView Home tab or by using Ctrl+I:
4. With your cursor within the note, navigate back to the Note tab and deselect the middle User Text option to remove the standard paragraph and leave the new italic version:
