Working Papers Speed Enhancement Steps

If your firm wishes to take advantage of the Working Papers speed fix, please follow these steps to activate it:

1. Ensure that you are running Working Papers 2021 or later*
2. Close all instances of Working Papers
3. Open File Explorer in Windows
4. Browse to where Caseware is installed (C:/Program Files (x86)/CaseWare) (this will differ for network installations. Speak with your IT department if you are unsure)
5. In the search field, type in CV.ver
6. Open the CV.ver file in Notepad (If you have not done this before, it will ask you what program to open it with. Select Notepad)
7. At the bottom of the list, add: AutoRecalculateOptimization=1
8. Close Notepad
9. Open Caseware and work as normal.

*This enhancement was released with Working Papers 2020, which we no longer support. Please ensure that you are running Working Papers 2021 or later. 

Note: If you reinstall Working Papers, the CV.ver file will revert to default (without the recalculate setting) and you will be required to add it again.
