Saving your import options when using Excel

The Record layout file option (available when importing from Excel) allows you to save the layout and settings specified for the input file, such as column selections and advanced specifications.

You can save and re-use this layout for another input file.

1. When importing for the first time, you will see the option on the last screen of the input routine:

2. Click Browse, choose a File Name and destination to save it to.

Once imported, the record layout file will be saved in that location.

3. On the next import, you can browse to that particular record layout file (.vtb file) and use the same settings.
