How to sign in a file once you have finished working on the signed out copy

1. After completing work on your Signed out master copy, you will need to sign the file back in to update the Central Copy.

2. Once you are reconnected to the network, open the Signed out master copy and select Sign In under the Engagement tab.

 

3. The Sign In process must be completed by the same user on the same computer.

It can only be done by another user if the correct permissions are set within Protection Setup under the Tools tab.

 

4. If the Sign In option is not available, then either the user does not have the rights to perform the Sign in, the central copy may have been moved or deleted or the computer is not the same one used to sign the file out.
