How to change a consolidated file back to a single entity file

Before deleting any Subsidiaries from a Consolidated file, we would recommend taking a Backup of the file first.

Firstly, please ensure that all eliminating journals are zeroed out, and then deleted.

Then to detach all the subsidiaries from the consolidation tree, follow the steps below.

1. Go to the Engagement tab, and select Consolidate to open the Consolidation Tree.

2. Select each Subsidiary name and use the Delete button to remove it from the consolidation.

 3. Open the Wizard and change the Client Type to Single Entity.

If your Accounts have already been built, you will not have the option to change the Client Type, if so you will need to Override The Accounts.
