Why are the prior year figures not populating on the Balance Sheet and notes?

You may find that prior year figures aren't populating on the Balance Sheet and related notes, despite having input a prior year trial balance. This is most likely due to there not yet being any current year brought forward figures in the trial balance.

Once you have entered and mapped current year brought figures, the prior year balances will then show in the Balance Sheet and notes. For example, the current year brought forward figure for Motor Vehicles has been mapped to A01.05.00.01 (shown below). This, in turn, will populate the prior year Motor Vehicles balance on the Tangible Fixed Assets (TFA) note and will be reflected in the prior year TFA total on the Balance Sheet.
